Once a month the park keeps the mountain bike trails open after dark for a night ride. Bring a helmet, a strong handlebar light and ideally a helmet light, plus water. The trails are the same seven miles you ride by day, so stick to lines you know.
Broward lists 6 to 9:30 p.m. for the November and December rides (7:30 to 9:30 p.m. earlier in the year). You need a current mountain bike trail pass: $5 a day or $25 a year from the park office. Preregistration may be required; call 954-357-5100.
