Broward's Family Campfire & Hayride series runs October through February at several county parks, sponsored by the Parks Foundation of Broward County. At Quiet Waters, families ride a hay wagon through the park at dusk, then gather around the campfire for s'mores.

The county lists the price as $5. Spots are limited, and online reservations are available on WebTrac; call 954-357-5100 for details. Bring bug spray and a flashlight.
