Splash Adventure Water Park

Splash Adventure is Quiet Waters' water playground for young children: a wide, shallow pool, nowhere more than 12 inches deep, around a climbing structure with slides, tunnels, water curtains and a giant bucket that tips over every few minutes. Lifeguards watch it whenever it's open, and admission is just $6.

What's here

  • A zero-depth pool, 12 inches at its deepest.
  • A play structure with slides, tunnels, turn valves, wheels and levers.
  • Water curtains and a giant bucket that fills and dumps.
  • Lounge chairs, open shade umbrellas and rentable funbrellas.
  • Restrooms, showers and a concession stand.

Good to know

Splash Adventure is closed for the season. The county usually opens it for spring break, then weekends in spring, every day in summer and weekends into late September. Children 12 and under need an adult (18+) with them, and dogs aren't allowed.

What it's like

The pool slopes in from zero depth, so even toddlers can wade in.

The pool slopes in from the edge, so toddlers can sit in an inch of water while bigger kids run through the sprays in the middle. The play structure in the center has small slides, tunnels, turn valves, wheels and levers that send water in different directions, and a big bucket on top that slowly fills and then dumps onto everyone underneath. It's built for kids up to about 10; teenagers usually prefer the slides at C.B. Smith's Paradise Cove.

Season, hours and admission

  • All-day admission: $6 per person.
  • After 3 p.m.: about $4.50 per person (the county's pages list $4.40 and $4.50).
  • Babies 12 months and under: free.
  • Hours: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

In 2026 Splash Adventure opened for spring break (March 13–22), then weekends from late March through May, Memorial Day, every day from June 4 to August 9, and weekends again until September 27, plus Labor Day. The 2027 dates usually come out in late winter; call 954-357-5100 or check broward.org/parks before you drive over. On weekends and holidays the park's $3 gate fee applies on top of admission.

Funbrellas and shade

The big blue umbrellas around the pool are called funbrellas. Some are open to everyone, first come, first served, with lounge chairs underneath. Others can be reserved for a party: inside the water park, everyone at a reserved funbrella still needs admission. Broward's current rental fees are $50 on weekdays and $100 on weekends and holidays, with a $50 deposit; a small table with a small umbrella is $15. Reserve through WebTrac or by calling the park office.

Tips for a good day

Come at opening on hot weekends; by early afternoon the open funbrellas are taken. The park uses a lightning warning system: a long horn means everyone out of the water. If you paid for a full day and had less than two hours before the horn, ask for a rain check. Pack sunscreen, water shoes for the hot deck, a change of clothes and snacks for the shady tables just outside.
